Seven years ago, Hola BB was born with a specific promise: to be good for our little ones and the world they will grow up in

What we do as a business?

We provide products that are safe for our babies today while ensuring a beautiful, sustainable world for them to grow up in. Never has it felt so important to stick to this promise, and to talk about how we can all do better. Because our children deserve a safe world to inherit.

Promoting a cleaner baby industry

The baby industry is responsible for over 3 million tons of plastic waste annually, much of which ends up in landfills and oceans. The carbon footprint associated with manufacturing baby items, from cribs to toys, also adds to greenhouse gas emissions, with many products shipped globally, further increasing their environmental toll.

We are extremely strict when it comes to brands we work with: all are based within the EU, have strict production guidelines and mostly only natural and organic materials.

99% of our products sold are 100% manufactured within the EU

Building a carbon negative business

The lifecycle of a product before it reaches your doorstep is long. In 2021, the logistics sector accounted for approximately 8% of global greenhouse gas emissions, with delivery vehicles and air freight being major contributors. Often materials and parts are transported several times before they begin to look like their finished product.

The rise of e-commerce has led to increased demand for last-mile delivery services, which often rely on gas-guzzling delivery vans and trucks.

Our partners help ensure their emissions during production are as low as possible and while products are in our hands, we ensure our emissions are already low, and we offset more than we produce.

What we personally do to ensure we have a positive impact on the world?

1.

Our 100% Solar Powered Warehouse

From our electricity to heating, our warehouse is part of the first 100% sustainable business park in the Netherlands

2.

Our Fully Electric Fleet of Vehicles

All our vehicles, including our delivery van, are 100% electric

3.

Our Strict Recycling Policies

Our strict recycling and paper only packaging/shipping policy ensures we massively limit waste. 100% of all plastic and paper waste is recycled across our warehouses and store

4.

Our Tree Planting Scheme

Over the last 4 years alone we've planted over 5,800 trees, offsetting 150,000 KG of CO2

5.

Repair, Resell and Donate

In Europe, about 30% of online purchases are returned, resulting in millions of tons of waste annually. Many of these returned items, particularly in the fashion sector, are often not restocked and end up in landfills, exacerbating the textile waste crisis, which sees approximately 5.8 million tons of textile waste generated in the EU each year.

We carefully process all returns and unless severely damaged, never throw anything away. Anything that cannot be sold with a discount is donated to a local charity. We also make it easy for customers to repair and re-sell their items, via a furniture parts replacement service.
